In the very deepest part of me, I believe in the potential of people. To help others imagine better and make it a reality is the highest calling I can imagine.
I have been teaching 13- to 16-year-olds in alternate and First Nation schools since 1997 — and now do therapeutic counselling in an alternate school for grades 8 to 12.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC#13847). I have a Masters of Counselling Psychology, Masters of Education, Bachelor of Education, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Creative Writing).
Teens and adults are welcome. I am a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community (Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity safe). All genders, identities, and orientations welcomed.
I use Reality Therapy (William Glasser) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Retraining) as my main methodologies, and draw from compatible understandings when appropriate.
